Data Export
MessageFuture allows you to request a full export of all your account data at any time. This is useful for keeping a personal backup, meeting legal or compliance requirements, or reviewing your data before closing your account.
Web only: Data export is currently available exclusively through the web dashboard. Mobile app users who need an export should sign in at app.messagefuture.com and follow the steps below.
What the Export Includes
Your data export is a downloadable archive containing:
- All your messages (drafts, scheduled, timeless, and delivered) with their subjects and content
- All attached media files (images, audio, video)
- Your contacts list
- Your AI Twins (names, descriptions, personality settings, and conversation histories)
- Your notification and preference records
Requesting an Export
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy (web)
- Scroll to the Data Export section
- Click Request Export
MessageFuture begins preparing your export immediately. Depending on how much data your account contains, this may take a few minutes or – for large accounts – longer. You will receive an email notification when your export is ready to download.
Checking Export Status
The Data Export section in Settings shows the current status of your most recent export request:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Processing | Your export is being prepared – check back soon or wait for the email |
| Ready | Your export file is ready to download |
| Expired | The download link has expired – request a new export |
You can also return to the Settings page at any time to check the status without waiting for the email.
Downloading Your Export
When the status shows Ready:
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Data Export
- Click Download Export
- A secure, time-limited download link opens your export file in a new tab
- Save the file to your device
Download window: Export files are available for download for 30 days from the date they were generated. After 30 days, the link expires and you will need to request a new export if needed.
Requesting a New Export
You can request a new export at any time, even if a previous one is still active or has expired. Each new request generates a fresh archive reflecting your current account data at the time of the request.
