Password Management
You can update your MessageFuture account password at any time from the Settings page. This article explains how to change your password and what requirements apply.
Changing Your Password
Available on: Web and Mobile
- Go to Settings → Security (web) or Settings → Change Password (mobile)
- Tap Change Password
- A password input field appears
- Enter your new password
- Tap the eye icon to toggle visibility if you want to check what you’ve typed
- Tap Update Password
If the update is successful, a confirmation message appears and the password input is dismissed automatically after a few seconds.
Password Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Minimum length | 6 characters |
| Maximum length | No enforced maximum |
| Complexity | No specific character type requirements are enforced |
Choosing a longer, more random password is strongly recommended for account security. Consider using a password manager.
Forgot Your Password?
If you are already signed out and cannot remember your password, use the Forgot Password flow on the sign-in screen – you do not need to be logged in to reset it. See Signing In → for the full reset flow.
Important Notes
- Your email address is immutable – it cannot be changed from Settings. If you need to update your email, contact MessageFuture support.
- Changing your password does not sign you out of other active sessions automatically. For maximum security after a password change, sign out from all other devices and sign back in.
- Password changes take effect immediately.
