Creating Your Account
This guide walks you through signing up for MessageFuture – on the web or the mobile app – from the very first screen to your first login.
Step 1 – Open the Sign-Up Page
On the web: Navigate to app.messagefuture.com/signup.
On mobile: Download the MessageFuture app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), then tap Create an account on the welcome screen.

Step 2 – Enter Your Details
Fill in the following fields:

| Full Name | This is how you’ll appear to your recipients and Guardians |
| Email Address | Used for sign-in and all transactional notifications. This cannot be changed after signup. |
| Password | Minimum 6 characters |
Once you’ve filled in all fields, tap or click Create Account.
Step 3 – Verify Your Email
After submitting the form, MessageFuture sends a verification email to the address you provided. Open that email and click the confirmation link.
Didn’t receive it? Check your spam or junk folder. The email is sent from MessageFuture’s official sending address via AWS SES.
Step 4 – Choose a Plan
After email verification, the web onboarding flow presents a plan selection screen. You can start on the Free plan at no cost or upgrade immediately to Standard, Pro, or Pro Max.

Tip: You can upgrade at any time from your dashboard. Nothing expires if you start on Free.
Step 5 – Set Your Display Name and Timezone
On first login you’ll be prompted to confirm your display name and select your timezone. This timezone is used as the default when scheduling message delivery dates.
- Your browser or device timezone is detected automatically and pre-filled
- You can change your timezone at any time from Settings → Profile
What’s Saved to Your Account
When you create an account, MessageFuture creates a profile that stores:
- Your full name
- Your email (immutable)
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your timezone preference
- Your profile avatar (optional – can be uploaded later)
- Your subscription plan and credit balance
All message content is encrypted at rest and linked to your account. No one – including MessageFuture staff – can read your messages without your credentials.
